If someone calls you "TV" then it is just easier for the typers. Maybe 4 letters make a difference to these people, and you merely disagree.
I don't understand how that nickname is so incredibly mortifying.

Explain why you are offended.
Does your religion hate tvs?what if i called you k?
No one would know who you were talking to, and so confusion would occur.
Kiley
Kayybee
Kimmy

Wow. This isn’t a big deal you guys. If TVflea wants to be called TVflea, why can’t you guys respect that? And for those of you who only put, “Hi, TV” then shame on you!
I almost always write out peoples usernames. Without using a usernickname. The worst you can do when you’re trying to type it out is misspell it. And that’s not that big of a deal. I don’t mind when people capitalize the H in henley.
Anyways, I don’t know what you guys are comparing a “long” word with, but TVflea is only six letters. It’s not that long compared to words like pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, antidisestablishmentarianism, Lopadotemakhoselakhogameokranioleipsanodrimypotrimmatosilphiokarabomelitokatakekhymenokikhlepikossyphophattoperisteralektryonoptokephalliokigklopeleiolagōiosiraiobaphētraganopterýgōn.
yes. [sarcasm]i love you![/sarcasm].

Your username is stated on your post. I am unsure how such confusion could take place.

I think it should, this could be a flame war. Or it might have already been.
