Cool! This way I won't need huge scripts!

There's no set date for it. They say an early version may be ready by Scratch Day.

drop-downs.
EDIT: Yay! I am a Scratcher now! I can edit!

Is there going to be any way you can save blocks so when you close Scratch, you will be able to open the custom blocks again? Why so many italics?
Yes, using the backpack feature mentioned in a later report.

This will be great for "condensing" scripts

Will Scratch supply preset blocks for New Scratchers so that they can understand the program better before making their own blocks?
yes.
but then would it really be from "Scratch", if we have preset blocks? It would be like saying that your making a cake from "Scratch" when you have cake mix, right?
also, if we define a custom block, will that count as a script? If so, 1s1s games would be harder to make because you wouldn't be able to use custom blocks or else you would have more than 1 script.

You should have 2 kinds of blocks (that you can make) spite only and all spites.
