Print to file using scratch

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can open up a text file on your computer and thenprint to it from within Scratch? If so, can you please show me how as I would be very grateful.

Do you mean you want to take a piece of text stored as a variable or list and paste that text into a text file? If so, Scratch does not cover it, but Panther - a version of Scratch with added features - does have blocks specifically for reading and writing text to text files which is great for saving game information!
