Yeah.All in the title.The front page is usually covered with crud.For example:Over 9000.Abusing a meme in a bad way.Here's a comment by FMT:"All the elements required for a frontpage project: (1) poorly drawn stickmen shouting random gibberish (2)inverted final shot with punchline or conclusion (3) sped up song that 10 year olds and socially awkward kids listen to (4) Upload (5)?????? (6) Profit!" This acually stuff that gets front paged.It's crazy.Post your opinion on the front page.

They are mixed up 10 year olds.

But I don't get SpriteMaster. His jokes aren't even funny, ever.

I don't like the main site because all the people don't know anything going on that's important. Blade said forumers were "oblivious" to everything, but we're the ones that know about stuff like Clutter, new flash player, and announcements first.

I've kind of retreated to the forums because the main site is a wasteland. NOW I KNOW EVERYTHING. tongue I like it here a lot more.

2) If you hate the projects on it so much, why don't you get on it sometime?

...I'm ten years old. hmm I really don't care about the front page or not. I mean, projects are projects, who cares how old the person posting the stuff is or what the quality is or who watches it? You can't change it. If it's on the front page, that means people have viewed it and liked it. If you don't like it, whatever. There's no real reason to post a forum topic about it. neutral

No genuine scratch animations since nikkiperson2 left on the front page. There are some nice and thoughtful ones not on the front page.

Us 10-year-olds ARE capable of doing things. Maybe not as much as all you older people, but we're worthy of front-page-ness. I don't have a good programming ability, so I've never made the front page. But I don't care. People like my projects, and that's all I need for satisfaction. smile

I've been telling myself for 3 years that it was just a phase of Scratch, but people seem to just like animations and art more than games.

Seems so, but if you can express the same amount of creativity and skill in programming in an animation, then I'm fine with it. I'd like to see some of these animators make a game.

Anyway, to test that, I am trying to make an animation that uses scrolling and tricks the eye somewhat into thinking that the image is somewhat 3D.

Meh. I don't care. I seriously have never got onto the front page, so I don't look at it much. I just think of it as a starting place for using Scratch, and a breeding ground for insults, spam, and jealousy. "Popular" people are just popular because they are well known, not because they made good projects. Well, some projects up there are good, but otherwise, meh.

Okay, why don't we start a Games Revolution.

Everyone that supports makkes a semi-good quality game and we upload it all within 1-2 days.

Hopefully some of them reach the front page and block out the 2 second animations or the giant lol and its variations

How about this: we create our own site and post projects that, say, 3-5 people conclude are the best for the week or maybe 3 days or something. It'd be like our own featured section, except picked by us completely.

Thanks for offering your opinions on the subject, but it's really not necessary at the present time. If you have any suggestions on ways to improve the front page, they'd always be welcome in the "suggestions" forum, but blatant complaints such as these aren't terribly necessary and are quite an invitation to flaming.
