First of all I'd like to say this. Is this the best project on Scratch? No. Does it have the best programming? No. Does it have the best graphics? No. But I think it's a fine game with fine programming and graphics.
Play it here: Orbital Showdown!
It's a fighter in which you battle against an AI opponent while on little planets, with planetary gravity. Try to shoot and bash your opponent off the screen!
A to fire a projectile, S to bash, and other controls are in the project notes.
Not sold yet? Take a look at a screenshot:
I hope you enjoy it!
As far as I know there are not many glitches, and any are minor, but there have been some discrepancy test-runs in which the AI completely blows a fuse, though this has been an extremely rare occurrence. Please inform me of any glitches you find, I shall not be offended at all.

Bump. Did I mention the options of choosing between four characters, two stages (one of which features rotating planets) and an HUD system?

I really like delivering that final hit to send them flying into space, but I wish the battles would last longer. We usually die at around 30%
This one time, the AI knocked me away, then hit me with a well timed projectile, which pushed me to 38% and I died.
Great game

Also, in the flash player, it gets really fast, and challenging

I never really thought about what percentage damage would be a killing blow when I was making it, and you're right, when I play it's usually 30% that kills. Might alter it later, but I usually take a short programming break after a release.

Hopes of reaching the front page are long gone, but I assure you you will still enjoy looking at this project.

Lol. This is really an awesome game, definitely more deserving of that position than the * that resides there day after day.
