Here's an idea: A huge ghost who comes up every once in a while and you have to answer a question to pass, or else you have to restart the level.

Well, that could be possible, except for the fact that most people are not to educated about mario. If i posted the same game on a mario fansite I could do that though.

Hey guys, my game is about half done. It is a scroller super mario brothers game with normal ground, and water that you fall in and die. You have 3 lifes, and so far the only enemies are piranha pipes, and those guys you can squish. It hard for me to make enemies that move because its a layered scroller. You can also track how many coins you have gotten. I am trying to decide whether to add a timer. The timer will time how long it takes to finish the whole course so the game is a little competitive. Any other suggestions?

The ones you missed were Baby Luigi, Diddy Kong, and Hammer Bro. Birdo is not an unlockable!!!! (she's availible from the start!)
2-Correct!!!!
3- Correct and Wrong. There is one in the first castle, but there's also one in Level 3. Since when you beat level 2 you unlock 3 and Castle, they're tied!!!!!

i dunno, um.... maybe... you could put in a boss at the end? Like Bowser, or a giant ghost, or something like that...
