I think once you get the rod, your meant to deposit all your pokemon in your PC except for a lvl 1-10 and do the entire region again. So after the second time you have 2 sets of pokemon super strong and a decent pokedex.
After that I would say finish the rest of the region.
And then your at the same stage as me, and I am currently trying to fill a decent team into the battle box. Maybe a EV trained team....

I got mine outta Liberty Island and caught in a regualr pkball. I'd be willing to trade mine, for something equal in value.
I did level it up to 25, I hope this doesnt affect anything.

Yes, but you can't trade special event Pokémon such as the Victini from Liberty Garden.
