Prologue
Cloudstar sighed and padded out of his comfortable den. From the Highrock he could observe everything. Swirlfeather and Hawkwhisper were sharing tongues. The senior warriors were eating prey and the apprentices were just lazying about. He pricked his ears. Someone was yowling near the dirtplace tunnel. He sprang to his paws and set off at a dash. Harenose and Spottedwhisker followed him, both looking alert. When they reached the end of the tunnel, they saw Shadowfall. He was laying on the ground with his freshly picked herbs laying scattered around him. "Shadowfall!" he yelled, rushing to his friend's side. The black medicine cat weakly lifted his head and looked at Cloudstar with piercing green eyes. "Three will be born with the power of the stars. They will be born more powerful than the original three. They will save the clan." he rasped, before collapsing. The white tom was shocked. Was that a prophecy? Cloudstar shook his head and looked over at Harenose and Spottedwhisker. "Harenose help me carry Shadowfall back to camp. Spottedwhisker, go find Heatherpaw and tell her Shadowfall is ill." he commanded, still shaken. While the two warriors sprang to follow his commands, he contemplated on the prophecy just given.. The words kept echoing in his mind. Three will be born with the power of the stars. They will be more powerful than the original three. They will save the clan.
