Just install the iconomy and towny mods, then your cities will be griefer protected, and you wouldn't need the whitelist
Also, if a user named Haz245 finds your server, ban him.

Possibly, but the time and date are subject to change. Like, rabbit may (and likely will) upload his thing early (or late) and therefore the day you'll be editing probably won't be Saturday.
