Scratch

THIS IS A TRUE STORY!! OK, so here goes:

One night (I think it was the night before my birthday or something like that) I was really, really excited about something. Like Christmas or Easter or whatever. Anyway, I was excited so I couldn't really sleep. I have this weird thing, when I can't sleep I just kind of pace around my house then I can sleep. So I got up to walk around. After walking around my room a few times, I decided that I should go to a bigger area to move around and stuff. So I went out into the loft. (We had a 2 story house back then) And I was pacing by the stairs. But I was still really, really, excited. I have no idea why. Possibly night before first day of school or something. ANYWAY, it was late. Seriously, like midnight or whatever. And I thought that I should really get some sleep. I was acually considering going downstairs. But it was very, very, very dark down there. And I HATE the dark. Like, with a passion. Ok, I admit, I chickened out. So when I was staring down the steps debating whether I should go down or not, I noticed a white figure at the bottom of the steps. At first I thought is was my mom's sweatshirt on this chair we kept at the bottom of the stairs. And then it moved. I was so scared I almost screamed. So I told myself it was my imagination. You know how when you get so frightened that you can't move? It happens to me with fire and water. I don't beleive in ghosts. So you can imagine what a shock it was when it moved again. By now I was petrified. All I could manage was a weak, "Huh?" I shot out of the loft and dove into my bed. I pulled the covers over my head. With all that running I fell asleep in no time.
Next night I remembered the ghostly figure. So I crept out of bed and snuck into the loft. Sure enough, it was there again. But it was still. I decided to check it out. Darkness couldn't stop me. I got about five steps down then chickened out. I decided to check it out in the morning with my bro. So the next morning I told him about my ecounter with the creature. He agreed to help me investigate. We looked but couldn't find anything. So THAT night I dreamed about it. I went back to loft to find the demon there again. My heart was beating so hard I couldn't breathe. It moved again. I ran into my parents bedroom and told all about it. My dad went to check.
                                        But nothing was there. *Play creepy music*
