Instead of disabling the beta Flash player in favor of recommending that people download, let's find and fix the glitches! See if you can isolate the cause of the glitch or difference in behavior between Scratch 1.4 and the flash player. Remember, Johnm is fixing a ton of bugs - so make sure you have the latest version of the Scratch flash player (should say v.20 right now), and then re-test to see if the bugs still exist. If they do, try to isolate the scripts that cause the problem, as described above, and then share a project that demonstrates the difference in behavior.
Thanks to everyone for reporting!
The thing is, it is a huge project (137 scripts, and they are all very long.) There are at least twenty something scripts running at any given time, so isolating the cause of the glitch is near impossible, especially as it isn't caused by any obvious sprite that is DOING anything. And finding the glitch is even harder since when you run it scratch it works, so you don't know what you're looking for. In order to know, you have to upload a new project every time you make a change! So I'll try to fix it but in the mean time an option to disable the flash player really wouldn't hurt anyone.

My script isn't working. Look at the Java version: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Blu923/1595261
The goal is to click all the fireworks to get a really high score. When you click the fireworks in the new Flash version, nothing happens D:

In Windows 7, with Chrome, Flash version 10.2.154.12.
Something wrong with (I think) generating random numbers:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/amcerbu/1576239
It is supposed to show several balls (a specified number) bouncing accurately, but however many you tell it to run, it always seems to put one in the center, only. I think that Flash is generating the random values wrong, and putting them on top of eachother. This may be because the random blocks are applied to lists, which Flash seems to have trouble with. The project runs fine in the experimental viewer, in fact, better than in Java.

My script for this project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/OrcaCat/1636458 was suppose to wait for a second and say <DOWN ARROW KEY IS PRESSED> when demonstrating brake, but it just skipped the wait 1 second block.

This worked fine when I tried it. I was able to click "Allow" and the project sensed my microphone levels.

Description of Problem:Two problems It doesn't seem to be able to access stored lists that upload and download just fine. A list that is generated when it is running works well but not one that is saved.
Second problem is that it does not remember the orientation of sprites. For instance the sprite that starts out vertically when called up again, is set horizontally.

It would really help if it could remember where variables appear too. For them to be any use they have to be visible, not stacked up on top of each other.
Thank you for all of your hard work, my students really enjoy your program. It has indeed gotten some of them interested in programming. Thank you.

I don't know why, but the variables are one upon the other, so you can't see the undermost variable.

Thanks David, I've isolated that problem down to a difference in when the On Click event happens and added it to the list of bugs. In the Flash player, you don't get an On Click event until the mouse button is released, but in the Java player (and Scratch) you get one as soon as the mouse button goes down.
