I didn't hear any sound. I know you mentioned you were rewriting a MIDI synthesiser, so I just want to assure you it'll be valuable when it's done.
Scratch seems like a great language. I wish it had functions, though.

THE FLASH PLAYER IS AWESOME!
i think that this is the start of something great (like multiplayer capabilities and save files, please!)
also, it loads faster if you put it in turbo mode while it's loading

Meh. It's too fast.
I would prefer fast projects to the s-l-o-w ones though.
I really love and who can give some URL to download them???

As part of our experiments with Flash, we are now releasing a beta version of a Flash player that you can use instead of the Java player. Please let us know what you think. If you find any bugs, please report them on this thread.
Notes on Flash:
The new (beta) Scratch player requires version 10.0 or later of the Adobe Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player is free, comes pre-installed on Windows and Macintosh computers, and is used by many websites including YouTube. Chances are you already have it. However, if you are testing the new Scratch player and nothing happens when you view a project (i.e. you just see a picture of that project), you might need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. You can download that here. If you want to find out which version of Adobe Flash Player is currently installed in your browser, visit this page.
If you can't install Flash on your computer, you can revert to using the default Java-based Scratch player to view projects on the website.
UPDATE 2011-02-23: The full screen issue has been fixed. Please let us know if this is not the case.

My Pong game works properly, just as it does in the Scratch interface, in the new Flash player, but it has problems in the old Java player.

I love the flash player! I would ask for an HTML5 player, so my students can play my games on the idevices.

I just joined your community and having been working in Flash for years! So glad to see that you added it as an option. I am just finding my way around and reviewing projects to start but notice it is so much faster than Java when loading a project file....why is this? FYI, you can now see these files in flash on your iPad by using the FREE app called Cloud Browse! Keep up the flash support, I refuse to believe it is dead!
