It's really good, but I think it needs some speed improvements.

Re: Beta Flash player

Much faster. But on a Mac (instead of my normal Windows PC), there is a small black space around the player. In full screen, I can only see half of the game I was playing and a HUGE black space.

The next version of Scratch will be in Flash, and so this is the player that will be used to play projects from it...

Re: Beta Flash player

LOVE IT! On the Java player, the sizing is off for some of my projects, but on the flash player, everything is perfect. The full screen option doesn't work though.

Re: Beta Flash player

It is amazing. But if there is music, when you scroll down it buggers up. I would give it 3/5 stars. Well done, Scratch team.  big_smile

It's the same for my Safari browser. It shows only half. But it always loads and runs smoothly. Awesome  big_smile

Re: Beta Flash player

I think this is universal: the "whirl" effect in the java player is an ellipse, but in the flash player it is a circle; see here

Re: Beta Flash player

I can confirm the following issues with my projects:

Full-screen view (as mentioned earlier)
Variables are draggable (as mentioned earlier)
Re-sized lists only show a standard-sized rectangle inside the grey box - lists are draggable - but then snap to the top/bottom (mostly mentioned earlier by others)
Click and drag (so a sprite follows a mouse) works, but drag and drop-style scripts don't (where you hold a mouse button down to move a draggable sprite).

Testing with Win 7/Chrome and Win 7/Firefox (latest versions of browser and flash player).

I can provide you with links to projects where I have seen glitches if necessary.

Re: Beta Flash player

When I added my latest project, most of my sprites were very glitchy and incomplete. When I did the Beta, it was crisp and PERFECTO!!!!!!! The Beta Flash was a great idea. Thank you!

Re: Beta Flash player

Full screen doesn't really work... It only shows half of the project. As in seeing half of the screen.
