As part of our experiments with Flash, we are now releasing a beta version of a Flash player that you can use instead of the Java player. Please let us know what you think. If you find any bugs, please report them on this thread.
Notes on Flash:
The new (beta) Scratch player requires version 10.0 or later of the Adobe Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player is free, comes pre-installed on Windows and Macintosh computers, and is used by many websites including YouTube. Chances are you already have it. However, if you are testing the new Scratch player and nothing happens when you view a project (i.e. you just see a picture of that project), you might need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. You can download that here. If you want to find out which version of Adobe Flash Player is currently installed in your browser, visit this page.
If you can't install Flash on your computer, you can revert to using the default Java-based Scratch player to view projects on the website.
UPDATE 2011-02-23: The full screen issue has been fixed. Please let us know if this is not the case.

IT'S AWESOME
And my projects work
EDIT: Yayz first post. Eat that Lucario
EDIT: I noticed that if you uploaded a project with a specifically sized list the box shape changes when the frame doesn't... see this for an example.
But meh, this is beta

IT'S AWESOME
It seems to be working great - well, I haven't found any bugs yet I'll try out several projects and see how they run
EDIT: Hey - in my chatbot Kriza, the list display isn't as it was in the Scratch program; the items don't stretch from side to side. They're 'formatted' just as they would be if their list were put into the smallest shape possible. Oh well - hope it gets fixed
ANOTHER EDIT: I think the timing in the Beta Flash Player is different from the Scratch program's; my fourth Star Wars animation runs at hyper speed The timing isn't right... but then again, it wasn't right with the Java Player either xD

I would prefer fast projects to the s-l-o-w ones though.

My operating system is windows. I use google chrome. And, I don't even know what version of flash I have.

I prefer the old one so far.
First time I tried the Beta Flash player it said I needed Adobe Flash Player to view it. I only just upgraded to the new Adobe Flash this morning. However it is still a beta. I suggest you keep the java option up as it seems to please quite a couple people.

Good, swift, but very fast. I watched swifty2's "The Target Part 1" and the mouth on The Boss moved like you were scripting it
"When I recieve 'Blah'"
forever next costume
(notice i did not include a "Wait 0.1 seconds" or something).

Why?
It makes it easier if you dont have flash

It works great, but full-screen isn't working for me at all. In Google Chrome for Mac OS X 10.6, clicking the full-screen button enlarges the player but I can only view a quarter of it as it is still constrained to the 360*480 box... Clicking also seems to be taking quite a while to process, slowing down a multitude of the games.
