I don't entirely see eye to eye with your parents, exept the fact that they might not be the most informed on the subject of technology, and wouldn't see the need for two computers. It is your money thouh, and, the way I see it, letting you buy it would help you become more independant, saving money and buying somethin you really want and need with it, not just something like candy.

I have had that same problem, except mine was worse, because I didn't actually have the money, well of course I did, but, see, we keep trap of how much money I have on the computer, and when I need money I just ask my dad (who by the way works at home) for the money, which is a good thing because then I don't spend all my money at once, but it's a bad thing, because sometimes when I want to by something expensive I get nervous. So, just work up the courage and say "It's my money, I earned it, and I can do what I want with it, so hand it over." That usually works for me.
