Im new and all the commands and the fact that I cant delete a sprite is confusing me

right click it and something like

that should come up
then you click delete

or you could click the scissors at the top right-ish of the screen then click the sprite

If you want to delete a sprite while the program is running, you can use the "show" and "hide" blocks. Otherwise, what rufflebee said.
