What I noticed is that you can say "hell",dam" (in comments, not descriptions),and * in comments and descriptions, but not [removed by Moderator]!?!?! Scratch really needs to either unblock those words,or block the profanities, am I right!?!?!?

Well, Hell isn't a curse when referring to the Inferno, * isn't when referring to the farm animal, yet the others have no purpose but swearing.

Isn't a dam a large water storage related thing?

There's a difference between "dam" and that but with an 'n' on the end yes... A dam stops water from passing through and to be * means to be sentenced to hell...
A lot of these words have two meanings, one not being a swear-word...

We never claimed that we were consistent
It is kind of a pain though. Maybe when Scratch gets an upgrade we can address some of those small issues. In the meantime, please keep the conversation polite and don't use censored words.

technically your censor is really bad too :T

Quite a lot of people use them in a good way.
People shouldn't be not allowed to use words just because some people abuse them.
You can type a really offensive sentence without swear words, it doesn't mean that all words are banned.

The word 'grapes' is censored in comments. In general, it's not a huge issue, but it shows that the censor filter isn't really that good.

Grapes has many unfun meanings.
But, we need a sofisticated censor!

Yeah. There are a lot of problems with the filter. 'Hell' probably should be blocked. "Dam" shouldn't be, because there might be a collaboration where a Scratcher would say, "What if we put a dam at the far side of the pond?". And "*", well, no one uses that word for donkeys anymore, so that should, too, be blocked.

I know, @$$, dam/\/, it's crazy.
It'd be much easier if Scratch could sense if people were doing that too.

Yes,but you can't type the "D" word(as some would call it) in anything but comments!
I typed "Dam" Because I couldn't type the real thing.

What I hate most is if there's a screenshot using them in not a "bad" way, it's still removed for a "bad" word.
b------ sword is an actual term, and it was removed for "offensive language".

Yeah, they also let you say *... Meh.
