XD watson just wagered some very strange number (like $1246) on the daily double
i wonder what made him do that?
Alex: I'm not even going to ask, Watson. XD

By the way, you CAN have Watson's programming run on a normal desktop. It would take 2 hours to solve one question, but it would work. Who knows, maybe in a few years it'll be 1 hour. Or even *gasp* 30 minutes!

So... who exactly won? I get that Watson got the Final Jeopardy question wrong, but did he lose enough to fall behind Ken or Brad?
watson only bet about $900 on the last question, so he's still in the lead! but they are combining the scores from the first two days and tonight, so they may catch up!

Watson won, but he didn't get the Final Jeopardy question. Watson bet $957 on it, and Alex called him a "sneak". My dad did get the last question, though. It was something like:
This city's two airports are named after a WWII pilot, and a WWII battle.
The answer was: Chicago.

Ok. What's next? Super computer game shows.
Question 1.
Calculate pi?
The computers start to calculate it and the humans say that it is not a valid question.

Ken: (best one yet) I, for one, welcome our new computer overlords.

On today, February 16th, 2011, a supercomputer built by International Business Machines (IBM) consisting of ten racks each containing ten Power750 servers, have beat the two best Jeopardy players in the world, winning 1 million dollars, all to be donated to charity.
I am stunned.

I think it's pretty cool that they accomplished this. I mean like they said, we're still far off from "Star Trek"-esque computers.... but we are that much closer!
hey I wonder if Watson knows about scratch?

I was surprised he didn't win by more. It was funny when he messed up though.
