If the computer wins this will be a huge milestone in computing. IBM spent 4 years to get here and I am so pumped to see this.
So who are you rooting for? The computer (Which is named Watson) or the humans? I'm rooting for Watson.
EDIT: HOLY COW WATSON WON!

It's Watson.

He won't. Computers only do what you tell them to do via programming, so if you don't program them to give the the ability to they can't. Plus AI is not that advanced yet. Even Watson wins, then we are only a TINY bit closer. But it will still be a breakthrough.

That was a joke.

Too bad, I feel like nerd ranting today.

You apostrophe is misplaced, it belongs before the O, therefore the correct variation is:
D'OH

Aww, I missed it. Noticed this and turned it on just as the credits were ending. Who won?

It hasn't started yet.
At least, not for me.

They're doing Double and Final Jeopardy tomorrow, and right now Brad is tied with Watson, I believe.

It's 3 parts. The computer is currently tied for first with the guy with a cool voice for 5,000 dollars.
That guy should defiantly go into acting like he said.
Edit: I can't believe you guys want Watson to win! Well, it is Scratch.

I saw the one guy and the computer had $5,000, although I'm not going to be able to watch tomorrow because I have something going on while the show'll be on, but I'll watch the last part then.

If he wins it will be a HUUUGE advance in computing! Why wouldn't we want him to win?

I'm rooting for the humans, because my brain is so crammed with science fiction stories. We're doing essays on them in school, and man are they depressing. I'm starting to get a little paranoid and scared of my computer

Yeah. Maybe that's a hyperbole, but I'm still rooting for the humans! However, I DO think that it would be cool if Watson won.... imagine that! What would, I don't know, Ray Bradbury think if he found out that machines we built actually outsmarted us?!

I thought they already tested it out a while ago. It won by a landslide.

Either you have an earlier broadcast time than I do or you saw the training it was doing.
(Yes, it needs to train.)

Probably saw the training, because I heard of this weeks ago.

Yeah. Some of the answers it was producing in 2007 were hilarious.
(I've been looking at the site.)
