But anyway, I'll prolly still have to wait for some plugins.
I read about the new bukkit update, it said the old plugins should still work

Seeing as people seem to have missed it since it was the last post on the last page, I'll post this post again:

NOT GOOD.
When will AoW learn how to keep a server up?

No, it's not their fault, it's just that some stuff gets unstable when left loading and requiring user input (seriously, I have to type commands to get it to start sometimes!), so yeah.

This better not take as long as last time D:
And everyone, learn to read before you go on making assumptions or making clear uneducated statements.

It won't, I told them specifically what to do and what not to do (while trying to avoid making them angry

Thank you.

Ok, let me rephrase that.

NOT GOOD.
When will AoW learn how to make the stuff fully automatic?

That's not their fault either, it's just a weird bug
But I did ask for a way to kill all Java processes from the control panel so I don't have to wait for them to do it.

That would be funny if they couldn't, and your name was Dave...
YOU: Please give me a way to kill Java processes.
THEM: I can't do that Dave...

Well, however it's done, please get it back up.

Well, it turns out it was their fault after all, lol.
It's happened before, let me dig up the post...

But unfortunately, the server stopped all of a sudden, the remote toolkit isn't responding, the server status in the Art of War Central control panel says "Unknown", trying to start the server from the control panel says "An error occurred while starting the game server", and trying to access the control panel's file manager results in a 500 internal server error, which makes me think the Art of War people are doing maintenance or something and it's not my fault.
(Of course, the point of going to the file manager was to try to modify the server files to see if they were still running, so I'm not 100% sure on that. But then again, why else would it give a 500 error? They put up the file manager system, not me.

Meowmeow55, how do I give myself(and other people) permissions with PEX? I also need to know how to create groups and stuff.

Check the wiki
And everyone, I'm in the middle of prepping the plugins for upload to the server. Expect it up in about 1-2 hours.

Wut? What does the rank number represent?

It's for using /pex promote and /pex demote. The lower the number, the higher the rank. You don't have to use it, though.

Does that mean when the server is up it'll be for one point eight?

Here:
#Rank is between 0 and 1000, with 1000 being the lowest
#and 0 being the highest
groups:
Guest:
...
options:
rank: '1000' #bottom of the ladder
Player:
...
options:
rank: '750' #next step up
Trusted:
...
options:
rank: '500' #middle of the ladder
HandoutPerson: #moderator
...
options:
rank: '250' #second-to-highest
Admins:
...
options:
rank: '0' #top of the ladderYou don't have to have them all evenly divided like that (e.g. you could have 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 for each group in this example), it's just that a higher rank needs a lower number.

Must I repeat myself?
READ EVERYTHING THROUGH FIRST.
Walt, the server is running 1.8 on a recommended build (I think)
And Dab, no one can grief your town if the server isn't even UP.

I know about the 1.8. But if it doesn't work, set it back to 1.7. JUST SO IT GETS UP.
