More GIMP help?

How do I delete the yellow and black dotted box around my selection? It won't let me draw outside it!

Re: More GIMP help?

for all paint programs, there's a way to deselect items.

Just look for the selection tab, or something along those lines. I don't use GIMP, so I wouldn't know. However, I recommend Paint.NET to gimp, it's free, and is way simpler to use.

I agree that Paint.net is much easier to use. If you have Windows, try it out.

Re: More GIMP help?

The yellow and black line marks the bounds of the layer (or canvas). You can't delete it, but you can expand it by right clicking on the layer that's too small in the layers window and clicking layer to image size, or scale layer. Layer to image size would probably work in this situation though  smile
