It impacts children pretty big. Games that teach you to solve puzzles or think on a higher level are good for people who need to learn skills for success, but then there's the other side of the sword where you get hooked on games that teach you nothing.

Ah, I'd just like to point out that, although this topic is better fit in Miscellaneous, there is a similar topic here already in the "All About Scratch" forums that talks about violent Scratch Projects and other Scratch projects containing questionable content.
