I'll be honest, I may skip this DS.
Yeah, go ahead and boo me. I just don't see the reason of buying another DS when I already have 3 functional ones. And I just recently (recent is about 4 months) got the XL. I am happy with what I have. And the NGP is (in my view) going to be better.
What is the NGP?

The NGP is the Next Generation Portable, or as we all know it the PSP2.

Or the ihavenofaithinthepsp2
The 3DS also has a shorter battery life than it's older counterparts. Its going to the length of the PSP's battey. Not bad, but not the best (3 to 5 hrs on 'max').
As one who has owned both the DS and PSP, the current winner is DS. I always saw potential in the PSP, it just never arrived. I think it may with the new one. Sure, 3D on a handheld is cool, but is 3D really the direction games/systems should be going in? Maybe. I don't see any reason really for 3D. Which is why the NGP interests me more so than the 3DS. I most likely will end up with both anyway.

NGp is going to be an epic fail for sony, buy an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch 4G! You an jailbreak those and get like FREE apps!
I would like to point out that iOS devices are NOT dedicated gaming consoles. They have some good games, yes, but they're just not designed for any kind of actual gaming. Have you tried using virtual control sticks? I have yet to find an implementation that I like. (That said, I own both a Gameboy Advance and an iPod Touch, so no bias here.)

You know if you trade in your DSi at gamestop you can get the 3DS for $150.

Actually you get it for that much if you trade a dsi xl. Just a dsi will make it $175, and just a ds will make the 3ds $200.

I am not getting rid of my XL. It's too epical.
Nor will I buy the 3DS (for a while) anyway, as I don't see 3D as the future of gaming. Either the NGP or the iTouch4 for me.
