Ok, i tried again on vista, and it really works. (everything is tested, special character reming, copying, long filenames etc...)
I might ran an old version that was still on my pc...
Can anyone still test it?
btw, do you have any suggestions, to improve discScratchr? Does discScratchr needs project thumbnail support (I think it should be possible to rip of thumbnails from projects using a modified version of the Scratch source code, and load them automatically into the exe file)?
Maybe you should make all those C
Run stuff go away once its finished?

Does the black dos boxes keep on your screen?
Normally they should dissappear automatically.
btw, it's not C, but dos.
It does it on both my XP and Vista so I'm not sure if its a OS problem.
Anyway, I meant the command prompt thing...

Very strange.
You might want to post a screenshot of what you see after running discScratchr without closing dos windows manually. It might help.
Another thing might be the scripts are not really finished. Scripts activated to run things - like the explorer or the autorun.exe program - are not finished when the started program is not "finished" yet. For example, the script started when you check "I want to watch the result now" will only close when you close your menu.
However, when discScratchr is running from a disc (or when you manually start autorun.exe) there should be no "continuously shown" dos scripts.

I don't think I'll be able to download it... Did you use Flash to make this?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere that you use a mac... not sure though. Anyway, if you do, you won't be able to use it unless you have a windows emulator, as it comes in an EXE file. Try using Boot Camp to run windows.

The download link seems to be broken. JSO, could you post a new one please?
Download works fine for me at this moment...
Probably the skynet servers had some trouble (they usually have)
Wait a moment and... Try again! (wow - that could be a Windows error message!)

I use both. At the time, I was using a windows. And I have an old version of mac, no Boot Camp for that.

While there used to be an image link to the download, the PunBB upgrade seemed to take all forum images and turn them into <image>, which links to the original image on a new page. Could you please add a text link?

Working on ME?
Nice! I was afraid it would only work on my own PC. If it works in ME, it might even work in 2000, 98(SE) etc...
guessing it wont work on vista then?(maybe you could make the one supporting scratch 1.3 would run on vista?)

NOTE: Discscratchr 0.5 does not supports 1.3 projects yet. please be patient until I finish a new version.
discScratchr is a standalone program which converts multiple Scratch projects into an autorun disc. (at least the exact files for a disc - you have to burn them yourselves). Including a nice looking menu, automatic full screen startup etc. The disc can run on it's own, you don't need Scratch or Chirp to use the disc.

To run discScratchr, run wizard.exe in the discScratchr installation folder.
discScratchr uses Jens' Chirp chirp.scratchr.org for running the Scratch project files.
I posted this in advanced topics because it is still a beta, and i would like to know how to improve it functions, compatibility,...)
DiscScratchr should work for Windows ME,2000,XP,Vista
It is tested on vista - this does not works. I will try to fix it soon.
It is recommended to extract it in Program files or even directly on a drive (C:\discScratchr for example), when i ran it from my documents it crashed - the batch files won't startup from the .exe(s)
Flash source files are included in data\source, feel free to change.

When you say it wont work for 1.3 do you mean if that it has the new blocks in?

Discscratchr 0.5 works for Windows 9x, 2000, XP, Vista
But all projects made with scratch 1.3 will not work.

you say it worked on your vista computer right? where did you find your projects writen on scratch? ive looked under C:programfiles/sratch/projects, nothing. I ran a search on program files, nothing. ran a search on my C drive, nothing. I ran a search on my whole computer, nothing. i included hidden files as well, but all i could find was the sample projects

I can use it fine (if my disk drive worked...)

finnaly got it to wrok
, it everything is great, excpt in some of my projects it gave me a header error, the project cotains no lists thou, but was made in V1.3 of scratch. Is it because everything was remade in 1.3, or is it just a diffrent type of error?

i know how every one can make it work on 1.3! just delete the image file for scratch then add the 1.3 image file!

No it won't.
I used a tweaked image file made by Jens so it would start in presentation mode emmediatly when you start it.

JSO-
Would you mind posting a text link to the download rather than the image that's currently there? In my browser, clicking the "download discScratchr" link just opens the image in a new tab. It would be greatly appreciated.

are you going to update it? the scratch 1.3.1 source code is out
