Microphone

Dear Scratch,

For Christmas, my mother had bought me a microphone
for recording my voice for my Scratch projects. When
I hooked up my microphone and set it up, I decided I
would check to see how well my microphone would
work on Scratch. However, when I attempted to record
my voice, a note popped up stating certain things about
the microphone.

I read the manual to my microphone, and it said something
about how certain programs not accepting the USB mics.
I checked Scratch and the note that popped up when I
tried to record, and I couldn't find anything helpful.
I don't want my microphone to go to waste, for it is a very
fine microphone.

Now, I ask to Scratch if there is a way to set Scratch to
accept USB microphones so I can upgrade my projects to
be better than they ever were. If anyone out there can help
me with my microphone problem, then I would be more than
happy to let them help. I would really like to use my mic in
my projects, because I feel that it would really give them
feeling and emotion. Also, I would be able to help the Scratch
Community by voicing for other Scratchers' projects.

From,
Cricketkelly

Re: Microphone

xD you don't have to word it like a letter, anyone can help you, though the Scratch Team might also. Still, well written. Now, on to the answer-

What did the "note" say? That would help a lot.

Re: Microphone

Could you post the message that popped up, and the type of microphone? That would really help.

If all else fails, try recording your voice in Audacity, then import it into Scratch. (Audacity should accept almost all microphones.)

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
