In case anyone is wondering: YGO CapMon = Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters (in reference to the TV show developed by 4Kids. No, you don't need to watch the show help out. I'll give enough details in this thread).
The idea behind the show is that you're stuck in some weird dimension littered with capsules containing monsters inside of them - you can fuse with some of them while others you can summon to attack other monsters on the island. The point is to find your way out of the dimension. I plan on following something similar in the game plot.
What's kind of bugging me is way the gameplay should work.
At one point I've considered a turn-based RPG (partially because I've never attempted one before), but for some reason, I'd happen to think it might get boring (probably because it has been done before in the YGO gaming universe). The other option would be turning it into a platformer, with different monsters and platform designs for each level.
Other ideas I'm struggling with is monster summoning part - like how many can be summoned at a time. I was also considering about maybe just sticking with the fusion part only, which would eliminate the need to carry multiple monsters at once.
No guarantees I'm going to continue this idea (school's coming up, and I'm taking a heavy workload this time around), but I'm just tossing this idea out there just to see what you guys think about it, if it has some potential or not, feedback, yadda yadda yadda.

Erm, okay... some feedback and input on ideas would be nice, though.
