This is my part of my History Day project explaining the Yalta Conference and it's impact. Tell me how to improve or if I'm missing anything, this is a lot of my grade(100 points out of 80% of history) and very important to me
General Background Information:
The “Big Three” of World War II met at the Yalta Crimea in Ukraine in February, 1945 to discuss diplomatic post-war decisions and how to divide Germany and Eastern Europe into Ally-occupied zones, the creation of the United Nations, and the future war against the USSR and Axis Japan. Soviet primer Joseph Stalin, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt agreed to divide the territories into French, American, British, and Soviet occupied areas, where democratic elections were to be held. This gave a chance for Soviet forces to set up communist regimes in Poland and other Eastern European countries, starting the Cold War.
The Act of Diplomacy:
The “Big 3” leaders of the United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union gathered to discuss many different events at the Crimea in Yalta in 1945. The creation of the United Nations and the planning of a Russian-Japanese war were planned as well as other matters. However, the main discussion was about the occupation of Germany and it’s conquered countries. After day of compromising, the Yalta Agreement was creation, and stated that section of Germany would be occupied by American, British, French, and Soviet Forces. The Soviet Union occupied most Eastern European territory, where democratic elected regimes were to be set up in each country as soon as possible.
The Short Term Impact:
Shortly after, Stalin set up Communist regimes in Poland and the other countries that were controlled by Nazi Germany. This meant that the countries voted in favor of Soviet wants. Democratic countries were enrages, especially the United States, and many historians believe that was the beginning of the Cold War. Besides this, many leaders, including Churchill and Roosevelt, felt they couldn’t trust Stalin or even the Soviet Union in general anymore, and an “Iron Curtain” swept over Germany, dividing Communist Europe from Democratic Europe for many years.
The Long Term Impact:
The Cold War, which showed the United States against the Soviet Union was a tense and bitter arms, political, and cultural rivalry that came close to an all-out nuclear war. Stalin stated that communism and capitalism were incompatible together and either one or the other would fall. For decades, the two countries struggled to get the best in technological and military advances, which produced such milestones as the Sputnik and Apollo 11, and events like the infamous Cuban Missile Crisis. Only when the collapse of Soviet communism came did both sides relax in their relations. Even now, however, the countries own by far the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world.

Your writing's really good! I always tend to ramble in my essays Dx
The only thing I can really think of which you could add is a conclusion with your opinions/thoughts on the impact, or just with something like "Overall, the impact was [positive/negative/both positive and negative], due to [insert reason here]".
Also, the last sentence sounds a little odd to me - perhaps switch the "however" and "even now" ^^
I'm not too good at history, though, so I'm not sure if anything could be added/improved on the info side of things...

Other than some grammatical stuff, it's pretty good. Is this for the process paper part? Mine had to be about my group's research process and why we chose our topic and stuff like that instead of info.
I did the Louisiana Purchase for my group's project, and I ended up doing everything except the cover page and 2 citations of my annotated bibliography

Some comma issues a few there and here, but otherwise, the content is well done! Maybe, you should add some more advanced vocabulary, such as neverhtheless versus however. Great essay, though! Hope you get an A+!
