I would just modify Ubuntu. Import your logo's and add some cool features.
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

AH, you see - i'm using an eepc 
and am trying to download eeebuntu - but i am seeing if i can use _____ - Do you want to help, though? Maybe mod the eeepc code
