I hope you're gonna make a safezone at spawn otherwise qazzy will sit there and eat people alive. And poopo, if it's hardcore then pvp skills are useless, and whoever looks behind them the most wins :3

I might consider hosting a plain old survival server.
It would have minimal plugins but enough to keep the game different from vanilla without too drastic of a change.

Please do. I miss good, plain survival servers.

To be honest I didn't want Dwarvencraft to become the bloodbath that it became. Part of my hopes for the new server is that users will not be as eager to fight if they know that they will be temp-banned and lose their special enchanted diamond stuff.

They'll get special enchanted diamond and then kill everyvody else so they have it all to themselves.

Basically, Scratchers are complete jerks in Minecraft. Introduce an economy? OH I'LL HELP YOU GET STARTED for all you starter money. Introduce PvP? OBVIOUSLY INTENDED TO BE 24/7 BLOODBATH NO SURVIVORS Have a safe area? ALL THE OTHER AREAS ARE FOR GRIEFING

All items will be immediately destroyed on death, for sure. Unfortunately it seems people don't understand the concept of "you don't have to always kill people." Instead of making walls to keep intruders out, they create a base completely hidden underground. Perhaps a whitelisted Dwarvencraft is all that is needed. Remove the noobs, remove the crowds, just a group of dedicated factions who don't want mutually assured destruction.

As you know I tried to make semi-peaceful factions before, but it's always "NOPE KILL EVRYTHING FJHDJFHUEHHU". I just think there's only a few people like that (90% of the dland faction). Of course there will have to be some enemies, otherwise it will be like watching Disney channel, but there's no reason why it can't be civilized and minimal violence. :S

But I can imagine it would be call to start having towns. Towns could have roads connecting to other allying towns. You'd be allied to most people, but if someone angered you enough you might start a small war with them. Problem is, small wars develop. Each side tries desperately to gather allies, so it becomes a big alliance war. Then again, this system of mainly having alliances would encourage more trading and gifts. Small towns might give a powerful faction regular gifts, on the agreement that they will help them in any wars. Basically a war insurance.

Well I still want some in-town fighting. Maybe just have PVP on, but only allow it if two towns have agreed to war, and raiding would be allowed in that case.

Although that would mean people could just never agree to war... maybe you can declare war on someone on here but not do any fighting until A: the opposing town agrees, or B: 24 hours have passed.

I think all wars should have to be announced on here, to avoid confusion.
