I just got 3 new Texture Packs: NorseCraft, Ruston, and The Red Creeper Pack. They're all pretty good, but the only problem is they don't have tall grass textures yet.
Offline
I want to get the Butterflies mod, but I'll have to get WinRAR and ModLoader.
Offline
That's not a big deal Aidan.

I am having mass amounts of difficulty installing a textuere pack.

Did you unzip it? Be sure not to unzip it.

Well, I open the texture pack folder in explorer, copy it, but it won't let me copy it into the minecraft.jar.

I am instead going to get a mod. Can I have directions on installing a mod that only requires modloader and winrar?
Offline
Yup. First download Winrar.
Go run %appdata%
WITH the %'s!!!
If you are using windows 7 there will be a roaming folder, go in that.
Go into ".minecraft"
Go into "bin"
Rightclick on the thingy called minecraft.jar Note: Minecraft must be closed
Open it with Winrar
Unzip your mod and modloader.
Now, leave that up and go into your modloader file.
Drag those files into the minecraft.jar
It should ask you if you want to copy them in, hit yes.
Drag in the mod files. If it is a good mod it should have a folder called "Jar files" Or similar. Or maybe just files sitting there not in a folder.
Drag in those files.
If there is a folder called "recourses" we will get to that later.
Now, there is a folder called "META-INF"
Just outright delete that.
You may now close the minecraft.jar
Now, if there is a folder called "recourses" inside the mod folder you will need to do the following.
Go back into the ".minecraft" folder.
Now go into "recourses"
Copy and paste the files in.
Have fun!

I dont think you need to put it in the minecraft.jar. You just put the zip folder into texture packs. If it needs mcpatcher just download it, open it, uncheck 'bettergrass' and hit patch. You only have to do that once for all packs to work. If you want to get rid of it go to the .minecraft and delete 'mcpatcherproperties'. A good texture pack is 'goodmorningcraft'

Its not HD... and it kinda defeats the purpose of the map if you don't use the texture pack.
