So why's it matter? to let cheap people on something that they don't have rightful access too

WHat if there was some way to "shred" minerals?

e.g. When you "shred" gold, it becomes golden flakes, and if you put the shreds and a cake in the crafting square you get a cake with edible-gold on it which increases it's health per-slice?

and if you shred iron you get iron flakes which go together to become chainmail? and then chainmail becomes armor?

That's actually a GREAT idea!

It would be like a furnace, but needs - Lava Buckets? Or hydro power (Water buckets)  To power?

I actually spent all day searching through caverns I found above ground. If you ever do search through caverns, bring a bucket of water to take care of lava.
