I like the background, but it seems kind of out-of-focus. That may have been on purpose, but I think it'd look better as a sharp image.

Yeah, it was on purpose I didn't want the mountain tops to be pixel sharp; they're far away, remember? xD And you won't be admiring the background anyway, since you'll be fighting enemies

I think that the background is okay, but 2 things:
1. No Trees, looks weird with everything else.
2. Make the ground lower. It makes it feel longer, which we need for this to be in 2-d.
Other than that, it looks good.

Then nobody would have had much option on changing it, would they?
This way people can add the beach ball to it themselves, and you can see what the middle of the fireball would look like without it

Uh, okay

New background:
No plants, ground is lower, and a bit more snow.

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The dragon is hard to draw I'm still trying though, but don't expect anything killer if I do finish it ^^

I guess not not excepting?

The ground needs to be really low.
Maybe a scroller if you still need more room. (See Kiley's The Kingdom)

Eh, okay... when I'm on a proper computer

I don't think the enemies will be walking on the topmost pixels of brown

Actually, I imported the background into Scratch and went in Presentation Mode - the ground looked nice ^_^

hmm i think there's some simple ways you could improve the dragon
maybe moving the wings closer to the head, and removing the legs.
just some suggestions.
it looks better than i expected though , well done!
EDIT: meanwhile, i'm going to write a guide that allows everyone to be on the sae page for the game, meaning that i will write story and upgrades and everything out that is in the game to make it simpler.

Pfft.
She was fleshing out my ideas.
We need more movable enemies. unless our base would just be a fireball shooter and a cannon. But not much once you upgrade everything.
