What we currently have:
Peasant - always
Archer - >130
Knight - >250
Wizard - >500
Witch - >500
Dragonslayer - >800
Emperor - >2000
That just isn't liveable... first of all, you get killed after only a few hundred gold. We should raise the health to 1000. And even with that, I only scored 685 gold. I didn't even get to the Dragonslayer... I propose reducing the numbers:
Peasant - always
Archer - >100
Knight - >200
Wizard - >350
Witch - >350
Dragonslayer - >500
Emperor - >750
And even with the reduced numbers (and the 1000 health), I only got 505 gold - just enough for the Dragonslayer.
It's too hard... or am I just lousy?![]()
Reduceing the numbers would make it harder...You have to buy upgrades. Hmmm. Lets make each person worth more, and the health at 1000(10* current.)
Where is the newest version?
Uh, okay... but the enemies need to be 'unlocked' quickly or people will stop playing before they get anywhere.
And the latest version: here Get the squiggle in and submit the project ASAP - we don't have long. It's already the ninth in New Zealand
Bobby500 wrote:
Also, remeber that we will have time after the first submission to change it a bit.
Yes, but we do need to submit something for the challenge QUICK
Add the squiggle and submit it ASAP QUICK!!!

Multiple fireballs would add A LOT to game play. My dragon just can't seem to move fast enough.

Yeah, that would be very useful... the game is too hard right now

Alright, lets make an inventory:
~First off, congrats on haveing the first version submitted to the collab!!!!
~Second, I will have a bunch of time tommorow and friday, so if you think somthing major needs to be done to the game, let me know now. (What I have so far is the turrets, special attack, and double shot.
Third, Music is needed (PWF, just upload it soon.)
4th, I want a credits page added to the main menu.
5th, Please promote the submitted version of the game, through siggy and by keeping this thread near the top of the list: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=669590#p669590. Also, if you know of any galleries it would fit in, let me know. Thanks.
That is all.

Multiple fireballs; the game is way too hard right now

Definitely - we want maximum popularity on Dragon Defense

To be honest I think we need to up the quality some...
- Variables need to hide when the game starts (just use Show and Hide variable blocks)
- The Credits button needs to hide when the game starts
- The menu looks rather patchy; maybe the button should be spaced a bit more
- There should be Back buttons in the menus
- The text in the menus needs work; missing spaces, some letters should be lowercased, and so on
- Squiggles in the tutorial are placed badly
- Upgrade icons look odd
- Overall quality looks a bit low
Picky picky...

Could I please do a quick update? Nothing major, just minor fixes and such.
...
Can we pweeze use sprites instead of variables for the displays? Using variables is cheap, unoriginal and dull. Sprite displays look better than variable ones anyway...

i agree with jonathonpb, we should use our own display.
i've got music for the game picked out btw. took me a while to get something really good.

Did you compose it yourself, or did you find it from somewhere? If you took it from somewhere else, we'll need to give appropriate credit
...
(You're FantasyTales, right?)

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ProgrammingFreak/1586800 is more recent... anyway, I think I'll go over it later today.

Thank you for not being like some people in other collaborations
Okay, I'll do a quick update
Offline
Done - project
I revised the project notes; now they look like they were from all of us instead of just TheSaint - you know, I replaced 'I' with 'we' for example.
Besides that, some slight revisions to the actual project... nothing major though. I would have done a back button for the tutorial and credits page, but as I don't have the correct font for the buttons, I thought it best to let someone else do it...
Maybe we should 'trace' over all text in the paint editor? That way Dragon Defense won't require any installed fonts. (I hope you know what I mean )
...
Should we make a to-do list of things to work on? It might help us and ensure that we don't forget anything
One last thing - we're still linking to TheSaint's version of Dragon Defense (which is outdated) in our signatures. Should we continuously replace the links, or should we remove them (so it's just the picture)?

You guys do realize that I take your updates, and then re-upload to the same project so that the scratch team sees it? His may have been uploaded later, but I go through and update my project with your revisions...
Anyways, if someone wants to trace the text, by all means go ahead. Good luck with that five hour project...
So, someone needs to convert the health+Money into sprites, not display.
