I was playing single player minecraft, and I found my first diamonds. At first I was very excited. Then I decided to go exploring. I eventually found a cave, and it was HUGE! Then I found some obsidian, and I had been wanting to make a portal to the nether for a while, so I started mining. However, I wasn't paying attention. I started mining straight below me, because I thought all the lava was turned to obsidian, but it wasn't. I fell straight into a pool of lava and couldn't get out in time. ALL my diamond and steel tools I had brought were incinerated, along with my armor and iron ore I had gathered to expand my minecart system. So now I am extermely sad, like X was when he lost everything he had at death mountain and restarted at the X-system

Aw, bad luck, you must be really stumped.
Ah well, if you can get back to the cave and you might have left a trail using torches and like, then you could go back.

No, I meant to find more diamonds.

I can think of much better reasons to be very very sad.

Do you know how rare diamonds are in minecraft? I have played for two months before, made THREE mining shafts, explored a TON, and those were the first diamonds I found. Only five diamonds in two months of Minecraft.

It's a videogame. Its not real. Thus: no need to be sad about something that technicly didn't even happen.

It can be frustrating anyway...

I know, but I still don't seee how you can get really sad about it...
I understand that diamonds are rare in the game, but would't you be more upset if you dropped an EXPENSIVE diamond necklace into a volcano? (for real)
Just try to look on the bright side of things.

1. I somehow knew this topic would be about minecraft.
2. I do that all the time.
3. Tip 1# Stay away from lava at all costs.
4. Tip 2# To find diamonds quickly, go to the very bottom of the map, go up about 13 blocks, and dig to the side in a 3 block tall shaft. I did that for 30 minutes and found 18 diamonds, 17 gold, and 16 iron. (Yeah, more diamonds than iron.)
5. I fell in lava holding three diamonds and 3 diamond tools and I wasn't mad at all.
