Re: Youtube links automatically converted to Youtuberepeat

I really hate youtube repeat. I think we should use a similar but much better tool called Quiteube

Just interested, did you achieve the link replacement with a simple censor,
change "www.youtube" to "www.youtuberepeat"
or did you use more complicated PHP added to the post code?

Just a simple censor replacement.

When I did that on my FluxBB forums, it does it to non links. How do you guys just get it to do links?

Maybe they replaced

Code:

[url]http://www.youtube.com[/url]

with

Code:

[url]http://www.youtuberepeat.com[/url]

, which includes the URL tag.

Then the same thing but without the www at the beginning of youtube.
And a version with url= instead of url, and a wildcard character.

On a different note, I think this was a good choice. I installed a Chrome extension called Comment Snob, and I managed to get rid of 99% of comments, half of those by inappropriate language. Not that I go on Youtube a lot...

bye 1.4, we all loved you. but we all outgrew the site. 2.0 is a welcome change.

Quietube?
I just tried it, and it was the most stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Sure, it'd take all the work out of word censoring.
But that only covers part of it, because what if somebody links to an innocent video, but they hear nothing?
That would only make more Scratchers mad at Mods!

Just testing if users work

Youtuberepeat only embeds the video with the given video ID, so no, it doesn't work with user pages.

*facepalm*

Adding "quietube.com/v.php/" in front of the URL makes it so that it has no comments.

Re: Youtube links automatically converted to Youtuberepeat

What about videos that can't be embeded? You have to go to the YouTube site to see them. Like on misc topic, it linked to a video "Tank Man", and it couldn't be embedded, so I had to take repeat out of the url to watch it.

Re: Youtube links automatically converted to Youtuberepeat

ya, of course, youtube video automatically converted in that. I have question about youtube video links. When i upload any video on youtube. It give embed code to everyone. and mostly people copy that embed and paste in their websites. i don't want it to share anybody my video. Anybody here anyway to not show the embed code there. If you have share with me.
