(I’m not sure where to post this so I will post it here)
Those who keep up to date with the projects I make know of my recent project “Speed Tester 2”. I would like to encourage game makers on Scratch to incorporate it into their games as an indication of the speed required to play their game.
It would work like this.
A Scratch Game maker makes a game. They tell me about their game and a minimum speed tester score is established. This is then shown in the project notes and/or project to help users determine if they are able to play the game online and also tell them what the game play will be like if they download and play the game.
Those who have already made games can have them be scored by me and added to
The Official Gallery of Speed Tester Rated Projects

To determine your computers speed tester score go here. (Not your project score. Projects are scored based on certain parameters)

To request an official score. Post a link to the project in the gallery. Please only post one per user.
Also looking for people to help give projects a speed score.
I will also make other gallerys which will group simular scored projects together.

The game? The mind game or the Scratcher's game?

I am- this sounds useful.
So basically we check our own computer's score, the game itself has it's own score and if the numbers are similar it can be viewed online?

If your online score is similar to the games score than most likely yes. Though if game don't work properly online they get given a lower score (The lower the score better the computer you need)

Mind rating this one? I want to know if it is fast on other peoples computers, as it needs to be turbo speed to ge thte right feel. I would have posted it in your gallery, but it wouldn't let me (Similar comment).
Thanks.

For me it doesn't work in turbo speed (Too fast) It does seem to be a little slow online. Score is 29. Works online fairly well but is a little slow.
Note. Scores are based of how they play on my computer. Which is the average dual core. By keeping the equipment used to run it the same, all projects can be given a score based on the scores my computer got from the speed tester compared to how they ran.
The scores I got 30.6 online 20 offline 1.9 Turbo speed can be used to find the projects score based on how it plays online and offline.
Common meaning of scores.
30+ Most computers can play the game online easy
25-30. Some computers will see slow game play online.
20-25. Most computers will see slow game play online. Download is recommended.
Less than 20. Reasonbly fast computers in full screen mode should be able to play it with ease. (Games that are likely to get this are those which do 4 way scrolling.)
Less than 5. Turbo mode is the only way to get it to work.
