I'm starting pixel art, but I'm still pretty bad... Let me post my pics.
Snowman
Apple
Strawberry
I accept requests in the requests link. (It might not look the best, but it's practice! You can request redos, too)
So here, can you help me with pixel art? Tips, maybe? Something?

You know that instead of doing '' and '' you can just click 'Never show smilies as icons for this post', unless you used different smileys, one text, one picture. But yeah, whatever, you probably knew that.

I have a big assignment for you. Are you up for the challenge?

I used to be an awesome pixel artist, but I stopped for some reason. All my creations are on my other garbage computer though, so I'll try and get them sometime.

You have a device that holds pixels that can compute garbage? :O

try using a smaller "brush." It'll look better
then again I absolutely suck at pixel art so I wouldn't know
it doesn't bother me too much anymore though

The point of pixel art is to have visibly large pixels I think.

not it is not. the point is to (at least mostly) draw the pictures pixel by pixel. so he was right. use a 1 pixel brush.

I do use a one pixel brush. Then I enlarge them so people can see it.
Ah, I just took a look at the image, and the strawberry one looks a bit... wonky. I have a feeling you enlarged it manually by stretching the sides; a small tip: when enlarging pixel images, have the image editor enlarge the image for you, and do it in terms of 100x (ie. 200x, 500x, 400x, etc) so the dimensions are kept proportional and the pixels kept intact.

Umm... I'm not sure what you just said, but using scratch's paint editor, I use the grow button.
DON'T
USE
THAT.
just use the set size to block within the sprite. then do what cheddargirl suggested.

But I think the scratch block only goes up to 150 or something...
Well, technically, you could put in higher numbers, but the sprites only go so far as 150% in size.
Actually, there's a better way to resize sprites in the Scratch Paint Editor. If you using Scratch on a Windows computer, hold down the SHIFT key while clicking the grow button; a window should pop up asking you to input a percent size, and just put in a number that's can be divided by 100 (like 200, 300, 400, 500, etc.). That will make the images less wonky when resizing them.

Can you make animated sprites?

Probably from the wiki's 'tips and tricks' thing or whatever.

It's described in this post Scratch Secrets in the Advanced Topics forum.

i can try, what do you want?
@cheddargirl-it works on macs too, but the problem is, i already pressed "ok" so if i shrink it, it becomes distorted.
Ah, unfortunately, when working with pixel art, it's only good to enlarge, not shrink the image, as shrinking causes greater distortion.
You can always hit the Undo button to undo the size change.
