The name, you mean of our game? That will be different...
So if no one else disagrees, aua (achievement unlocked alike) will be our first project!
Job list: sign up for however many you want.
Base programmers: you program the movement, sensing of platforms, time, and anything else not related to GETTING the achievements.
Achievementators: (I made that word up) you think of the achievements and program them.
Spriters: sprites
anything I am missing?
Anyways, we need to decide:
do we show this list of achievements
do we show unlocked achievements
do we just show a box showing one achievement at a time and can be changed with left and right
I have decided that: in the first version, there will be 25 achievements, and every 10 or so, you will unlock something (like coins or keyboard) the full version will have around 50
also, I think we should call the company
variety ______
should the blank be
1-productions
2-co.
3-Inc
or what?

I'm good with the programming and achievementators.
For the achievements I was thinking about making a button you could click at the bottom that brought up this screen that showed the achievements. We could have this one sprite with twice the number of achievements (2 per achievement, 1 green, 1 red) and then the sprite stamps the achievement down based on if you have achieved it or not (if you have, it stamps on green, otherwise red). The only problem that I could see with this is that it would be 50 costumes in the first version and 100 in the full version. And depending on the size of the costumes, that could take up a large amount of space.

I think that would take up too much memory... Especially the stamping... I was thinking one ability would be to stamp, press s or something, and like if you stamp a certain amount of times, a new achievement, to clear it, press c, a new achievement... something like that...
I think we should do something like:
< -------- > < --------- >
where the arrows are to change the achievements left and right, the dashes are a variable of the achievements. the first is yours, the second is all...
maybe we could skip the all, because they would know all the achievements and it wouldn't be a challenge...
BTW, i'm doing programming and achievementating.

I agree about only doing the achievements you have, but if the ------ is a variable, that would take a lot of scripting to make the variable change and say all the achievements. How about we could just have small costumes and for this one sprite and we could have a list containing numbers corresponding to the achievements, and the arrows control a variable, then in the sprite with the costumes the script could be:
When Green Flag Clicked
Forever
If <list A contains [(variable B)]>
Switch to costume [(Variable B)]
else
|Switch to costume [locked]
and then in the arrows if they're clickable:
When Green Flag Clicked
Forever
If <<touching [mouse-pointer] and <mouse down?>>
If <(item (any) of list a) > ([Costume #] of [Sprite])
Change Variable B by [1]
That would be for the right arrow obviously the script for the left arrow would be the opposite where if any item of list a is less than costume # of Sprite then change it by negative 1. And then we could always have them be 1 sprite where it senses if it's touching mouse and mouse down and then senses where the mouse pointer location is and seeing which one it clicked.
With these scripts above this would make make it so that you can only make the achievement's costumes go as far as the last or first achievement on the costume, and for the achievements in between them it would have a locked costume.

Sure.
I think I'm going to stop entries for now
@strykerV-i can do that easily.
You add the achievements to the list of achievements player has.
You make a variable saying ach. number. only goes up to the amount list of ach has.
(btw, ach is achievement)
When left arrow button clicked,
change ach # by -1
if ach #<1,
change ach # by 1.
and the opposite for right.
and for the variable of ach: (finally)
when flag clicked
forever
set ach to [item [ach #] of list [player's ach's]]
I'm thinking about doing this for the collab challenge 2011, if you want, if not, that's fine because we need to finish before feb 9, so that's a quick deadline. can you do it by then?

it's to put this thread upwards so more people will look at it. you're "bump"ing the thread up the list. don't do it too much or it may count as spam.
Oh I get it.Everytime a Topic gets a new comment it goes up on the list in the Collaboration list
