If someone is making a second account, then they could be able to put in their other account's username and password, and then skip the "New Scratcher" phase. And on your page, it could say:

(Username)
Has 1 other account

And then you could click on "1 other account" account and it would show that person's other accounts.

That way, Scratchers who wanted a second account wouldn't have to wait 15 days for signatures and the [img] tag and who knows how long for "Scratcher" status. But if someone didn't have a second account (like a spammer or new person) then they would still have to go through the usual process.

Also, if you were wondering if one of your friends had another account, you could visit their page and check.

It sounds like a good idea, but it could be risky. For example, how would you deal with people who were banned on one account, and had another attached one? Would you ban that one too, or let it be?

ban their I.P address. Or, because they are linked, both accounts are banned.

Interesting idea, but I don't see why the person couldn't wait a few weeks on their second account to become a Scratcher? They've got full privileges anyways, so there's no reason why they can't just wait and be active on both accounts while the second account gets upgraded.

Furthermore, a lot of the trolls already have Scratcher accounts that are behind proxies and not yet banned.

Thanks. What about the linking idea? The one where users' multiple accounts are linked on their page?
