If you add random things after "http://scratch.mit.edu/," such as:
http://scratch.mit.edu/lolwut
Or whatever, then it just takes you to a page saying that it doesn't exist...
However I just discovered (not by putting random words after the address, I have a better story than that), that if you go to http://scratch.mit.edu/img/ it says that you're forbidden to access it... At least it does for me...

You don't have permission to access /img/ on this server.
What is this forbidden image?

I just tried it. It must be some type of editable coding in the server that we are forbidden to edit.

It's not just an image (singular), it's a whole directory. It seems to be the location of all the images used on the site. You can't access the root of the directory, but all the images are available to view (like scratch.mit.edu/img/drop-down.gif, which is the arrow image used on the Language menu).

Exactly. Most sites block their root directories, although I've run into some that don't block it. You can navigate through all their files.

through a broken file on the scratch wiki, I was able to navigate the scratch wiki image directory.

People seem to like to forbid access to view the directory of those sorts of stuff. So I'm not sure why people do it.

I wonder if files/(project) would work. I'll try.
EDIT: nope

Thye basically made it so that you can't access it because they don't want any hackers to mess with the files, and, say, delete all the images. Thats all.
