I realize y'all are busy, and so putting together a way to have graphical code examples in the forums isn't priority number one. But, I just thought of a VERY easy hack: There's already a "smilies" capacity in this forum program. I'm not familiar with what program this is, but it seems like it should be easy enough to go in and put new "smilies" that replace "{random}" (or whatever convention) with an image of the "Pick random 1 to 10" block. It wouldn't be as good as something fancy that lets you assemble the blocks, but it would be much much better for explaining the most basic things-- "what you do is you take one of THESE."

phpBB (this forum application) has a way to allow users to add HTML scripts, if you made a modifiable Scratch App with all the blocks in it, the user could modify it and then post with the embedded modification. If the NetScratch proposal is fulfilled, there could be a version where people could collaborate over scripts!
Sorry for the tangent!

I agree with mungojelly 100% 10
It would be incredibly useful - especially if you use the common "show smilies" scripts so that we can click on blocks rather than trying to remember their BB code
