isn't that... kinda like obvious sort of?

What I was thinking. I didn't really like it that much. Still thinking of something like Cobrich or another pointless name like that.

Re: Pokémon Opal

Good luck. I personally feel that the idea is pointless. More work needs to be put towards an open, central engine and pack, and then create games from there.

Good luck to you, at creating the engine.

First of all, criticize people only when you can do better. (like you could, and then if you could, you should know that this is Scratch, not some other stupid forum where everyone hates each other). Second, who says we don't have an engine yet? I'm developing one right now. It's going to be much better than one you can make, and actually, it's not just an engine... That way we're not encouraging people to make Pokemon Opale.

Re: Pokémon Opal

Hey, Pokemon Opal is going to have to wait. I've been challenged to make a game better than this.

Re: Pokémon Opal

That game is so bad. It'll be way to easy to make a game better than that. Will it be a collab? I can help you a lot.

Let me list some of the reasons why that game is bad.
1. The description is all ads.
2. Movement is too choppy.
3. You have to replay levels over and over.
4. Levels are too short. At least some puzzles.
5. Tags are spam to get more views.
6. Spin does not work, it's super glitchy.

... You get the point. So can I help?

Re: Pokémon Opal

Ice lizard with spikes on back=Freezor?
Plant lizard with twigs on arms=Tweebi?
Just a suggestion. And the second is a random name, but it has two arms and it has twigs on it's arms, so I thought, 'Tweebi'.

Yeah, I'm making a game based on the same idea, so I can use some help with sprites.

I'll put some drawings up in a project, because I don't have any sprites yet. Please do it in the style of that first dragon on your project.

Sure then. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Thanks

Er... where's the project? Just asking...

Re: Pokémon Opal

So do you want me to still work on pickpike town? or can I put that on hold?

Make a super mario game like the original, where you can move in the home screen... i'll show you:

m=mario
d=door
w=wall
x=space
l=level start

Code:

MXXXD
XXXXD
XXXXD
XXXXD

and each D would lead to:

Code:

MXXL
XXXL
XXXL

And each L would lead to the level.

and also, make shaking MUCH better. it's not that hard, all you do is make a functional one, since that one isn't.
make that when you get a star for the second time, you cant get it again. use a list for after you get a star:
add 1 to list [level]
and if you touch a star:
if list [level] contains <level>
(<level> is the one you are on, and [level] is the list for the ones you've completed.)

You can hold on Pickpike town. Thanks for the help. And, each galaxy will have more than 1 star, so I can have 1 galaxy that needs 2 stars to get through, without having to play it twice.

Re: Pokémon Opal

Working on a battle engine, including shiny chance, exp gain, level up, evolution. Pretty much making an endless battle game.

Re: Pokémon Opal

I'm so sorry for vanishing off the radar for a couple of months. Or was it weeks? Iunno. I feel ready to sprite something, so might as well do some scratching of the Pokemon concepts.
