Not until February for me... But the teachers are already preparing us for exams. We have Christmas break next week, though.

I think finals are some kind of test or something
I'm only in sixth grade so I'm assuming I don't take them

Semester finals are tests high school and college students (may be only college, but I don't really know) take at the end of the semester.

i wouldnt exactly call mine finals since those are at the end of the year and we have about a week of 2 finals a day

but some of my teachers are trying to give us tests and stuff since the year is ending
like i just wrote 4 paragraphs about people in the 1700s under an hour today

It's for High school, at least in the united states.  Basically it's tests based off what you've learned through the entire semester.  We get two hours (and another half hour if neccasary) to finish it.  I have Honors Chemistry tomorrow, so that's a biggie.  I'm actually studying right now...fun...CH4 + 2(O2) -> CO2 + 2(H2O)! (The combustion of methane balanced!)

Ah, yes.  For those of you already done, you are sooooo lucky.  Wednesday, I have Honor Rise of the Modern World (HARD class), and French 2 (Not as hard, but not one I can blow off).  Plus, my older bro just got back from Kenya tonight, so I'm in no mood to study...you gotta love high school...
