I am on my Ubuntu machine. You said you couldn't install Scratch because wrong arch. Try this: sudo dpkg --force-architecture -i <put package here>
Replace put package here with scratch and delete the <>s. It should work.

Hey, you might want to leave a comment on one of @ThePCKid's projects; this is valuable advice (I know, I've dealt with Scratch/Ubuntu on weird architectures).
