can you put the link to the website on the sprite?

hi all...

i have a question about this one.. can i put the link to the sprite so when i click on the sprite it goes to the link that i put inside the sprite scripts...

johny_hizkia. that's a great question. we are considering adding that feature to Scratch. it would really make Scratch useful for designing webpages. unfortunately, that can't be done as of Scratch version 1.1

Actually, I think that putting full web access into Scratch is a bad idea.
There are already lots of web-page creation programs out there, and it is a bigger morass than providing video output would be.  Security issues alone could be a nightmare for schools.

It's far more important to get the teaching of programming right.

Forget about URLs inside scratch programs---get comments and arrays working!
