Is my project "appropriate" enough to submit?

My project is about zombies and includes the following that could be considered inappropriate: in the main menu there is a very unrealistic hand drawn (on paper) picture of a zombie with it's brain hanging out, in the game there are grenades that can be used to throw at zombies which creates a pool of blood. thats it!

please tell me if this project is "appropriate" enough to be submitted onto the scratch website. thanks!

You'd have to show me a picture. Depends on how realistic it is too. Just use good judgement.

I think it's okay - there have been some shooting games with blood that were quite popular - but try not to go crazy with the blood and gore.  smile

Sounds fine, but if it gets to the front page, it might get removed...

and another:

Note that the explosion the grenade causes (which I have not included in these screenshots) is pretty big.

Re: Is my project "appropriate" enough to submit?

Well, it involves blood and gore so it shouldn't really be on scratch.
That said, you can get along fine unless someone complains or it gets publicsed (like here in the forums, front page and spamming)

If you want an example of a zombie shoot up look at blaster395's zwombie survivor: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/blaster395/1074857

Decide whether your game is better or worse
And even if it isn't,
SCRATCH ON!!!  smile

I think it's okay to upload your project, but I don't think it will be on the homepage...
(I mean, if the project gets to the homepage, I think the Scratch Team will get rid of it...)

Re: Is my project "appropriate" enough to submit?

Since the frontpage is the first thing that newcomers to Scratch see and is the "public face" of Scratch, there are fairly strict limits on the kind of projects that are allowed to stay there for any length of time.  Projects with blood and gore are usually not allowed on the front page in any category other than Newest projects (and maybe not even there if the project is flagged).  Beyond that, it depends on the level of violence, blood and gore as to whether the project is allowed to remain on the site at all.  Hope that helps with your decision making process  smile

I have a question, If I post it and it still is to inappropriate (even after modifications) will my account be deleted an will I be banned from scratch and not able to make another account?

If that's your aim for it, then you should probably change it so it doesn't have so much violence. That way, a great game won't get deleted just cause it's violent.  tongue
