Hahaha Liar. You have to be 18 to be in the military.
And terrifyingly close to another terror attack? That's just. No.
Did I say I was in the military? I said I was in the Civil Air Patrol

In the United Kingdom they are bleeding us dry
When we had the other party in control; we didn't have to pay so much for a government grant to join University. Now we have to pay a fortune. Some of the teachers who are 50 years old at my school are still paying off their tuitism fee.

magic link. I saw this when it was "Breaking News". and if you know anything about me, I tend to exaggerate (it wasn't "terrifying")

It wasn't too exagerated, it was a terror attempt, it just failed.

I dunno, a month. I wasn't really 'gone' per se, but I just didn't get on as much. I didn't post much either. I was on Atmosphir. I am serious, if you go on there, I'll probably be on there too xD.
Ok I am not gone now, though. Yippee.

You guys in the US are a bit too overprotective for my liking, security wise.
The people checking my passport at JFK had guns. They check pieces of paper. With guns.
And my Dad got questioned for his reasons of entering the country. They thought he was a terrorist.

I agree, it's gone too far, but I still never feel safe when I get on a plane anymore. Probably because of the media, though.

I feel perfectly safe on a plane. Terrorism is mostly propaganda.
I usually feel safer in the US, in fact.
You'd be surprised how many hijackings have happened.
They're just not as explosive or publicized.

See, look what American Security has done. You don't see the problem.
No, I don't. Do you think they're gonna shoot you or something?

A person checking a passport does not need a gun to do their job, its an overprotective measure that isn't needed. The safety at airports has gone too far, it's just putting fear into to some people as soon as they step into your country.

People shouldn't be afraid of a certified security guard carrying a gun, and I don't know why you would.

I don't think they thought he was a "terrorist". They chose every 10th person or so and ask them a long list of questions. It's routine.
Although guards are annoying and over the top, there doing a fine a job of keeping Bin Loser's little henchmen out. And don't say it's propaganda. Their are evil people on earth. I know thats shocking, but it's true, so get over it.

Okay one, I wasn't scared. Two, you've not understood my point whatsoever.
1 in 10? Routine or unessecary? And was it any surprise the line my Dad was sent to was full of people for asian/ethnical backgrounds?
I know there are bad people, it's not shocking. I was just stating that your security system has flaws.
So get over it.

O.o, looks like we're getting a bit off-topic here. I thought this thread was about annoying encounters with authority figures, not a heated debate about national security.
