Retro Gaming

I'm taking a retro gaming class in school and I looooooooooooooooooooove it! It's taught by my two favorite teachers.

So much that I'm going to buy some retro gaming stuff. If my parents are fine with it, and I have enough money.  big_smile

Here's the system I'm getting.

What games should I get? I've already settled on Excitebike.

NO. DO NOT GET A RETRON 3 or ANYTHING like that! Get the original systems, those systems are nearly always off in terms of accuracy.

Yes, but what if you were buying a system. Like, say, a Commodore 64. and when you were very proud, you told the forums about it. Then a bunch of people thought it would be funny to prance around and say "OLOLL UR GONN DIE CUZ ITLL CACH OF FIRE OLKOLOLZ." WOULD YOU FEEL HAPPY THEN?

What if you just picked out a new shiny console that you were excited to get when someone told you it was a pile of poo.

Commodore 64 is not shiny and new.

I'm talking about Sanddude's console in the top post.

Yes, but I was trying to warn him of something legitimate: These have compatibly issues. Also the build quality isn't very good, and it is just much better to get a original system. Fires are not really a problem. JUST AN INSULT.

Re: Retro Gaming

NO FAIR.

The only thing closest to retro game systems they STILL sell nowadays are those play-on-your-TV consoles that include all these awesome oldschool arcade and Atari classics.

He has a few war games, which he didn't let us play when we visited him, obviously  roll , and a disc with all these old arcade games from the '80s and '90s. ExciteBike ftw.
