Scratch not working

everytime i click on scratch not only the shortcut it starts to load but then it suddenly quits and make the imagery on the computer screen GIANT! Also everytime I download Scratch it doesn't work

Weird. I've never heard of Scratch messing up screen resolution. Maybe you could try re-installing it?

I don't get any error messages and It stays the same even if I reinstall it.
