How do I create some of my own sprites?

I would like to know how to create my own sprites -- without having to download someone else's project to do it. Also, is there a way to get a sprite from a game I found on some other website? If so, please tell me. Thank you.     smile

Re: How do I create some of my own sprites?

To draw your own sprite click the "paint new sprite" button under the stage, the first button after the words "New Sprite"
as for using a picture from a web site... i'm not sure. sorry  smile  You could try to draw  it.

Re: How do I create some of my own sprites?

you are very welcome  smile  for getting sprites from another website, you might be able to take a screen shot (use print screen button on windows- not sure about apple) and then editing the screen shot by pasting the screen shot into a program such as paint and taking out the stuff you don't need and then importing it into scratch. (choose new sprite from folder and then finding the folder you saved it in).

Wow at first, I never thought of doing it like that but it makes perfect sense. Thanks   smile

I am definitely going to try that.
